Team Contract

COMMUNICATION:

We will:
1. Communicate frequently through email and weekly team meetings.
2. Send all emails to every team member.
3. Focus on solving problems, not blaming people
4. Present ideas clearly and concisely
5. Keep discussions on track
6. Conclude one discussion point before moving on to the next
7. check e-mail daily
8. Let the project manager know well in advance if a team member has to miss a meeting or may have trouble meeting a deadline for a given task
9. Send weekly update emails to project sponsor

PARTICIPATION:

We will:
1. Attempt to assign tasks based on individual strengths and interests
2. Be honest and open during all project activities
3. Encourage diversity in team work
4. Provide the opportunity for equal participation
5. Be open to new approaches and consider new ideas
6. Assist team members with problematic tasks
7. Complete all individual assignments on time

MEETING GUIDELINES:

We will:
1. Plan to meet as an entire team every Tuesday for a half hour before class
2. All members make an effort to attend all meetings and arrive on time
3. Agree on action items and persons responsible before the conclusion of the meeting
4. Every Team member shall know what he/she has to accomplish before the next team meeting
5. Develop an agenda before all meetings with our project sponsor
6. Document major issues and decisions related to the project and send them out via e-mail to all team members and the project sponsor

CODE OF CONDUCT:

As a project team, we will:
1. Work proactively, anticipating potential problems and working to prevent them
2. Keep other team members informed of information related to the project
3. Focus on what is best for the whole project team
4. See the team project through to completion
5. Have fun!


PROBLEM SOLVING:

We will:
1. Strive to solve all problems as quickly and efficiently as possible
2. Encourage everyone to participate in solving problems
3. Only use constructive criticism
4. Strive to build on each other's ideas
5. Distribute work load evenly among team members
